Without doubt the most unusual creation of Alfredo Vignale and
Giovanni Michelotti. When the Turin Diary Board decided on an order for
several delivery trucks, they decided on a design based on the
Lancia Esatau 703. Normally, the Esatau 703 was used as a bus
with its low chassis, but in this case the lowered chassis provided
a larger cargo space, compared to the higher truck chasis.
After this one prototype, the definite order did not materialize.
Michelotti's design was too expensive, and a few years later
the Diary Board settled for the smaller Lancia Esadelta
truck built by coachbuilder Rolfo.
